GM Klang Wholesale City is a wholesale business complex located in Bandar Botanic, a new business district located in the south of Klang Town and on the western border of Greater Kuala Lumpur.

Developed and managed by Gamuda GM Klang Sdn Bhd, GM Klang Wholesale City is in close proximity to major seaports and airports such as Port Klang, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), KLIA2 and Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport. The complex is also well connected with many major highways, such as the North South Highway, KESAS Highway, Shapadu, NKVE, SKVE, LDP and Coastal Ring Road.

GM Klang Wholesale City’s architecture was intentionally designed to facilitate an optimum wholesale business environment. The complex’s pragmatic design, combined with its ideal location, makes it well placed as a major hub and gateway for regional and international trade business.

Our Development

GM Klang Wholesale City started with humble beginnings. The complex first opened its doors for business in the year 2009, with 170 wholesalers operating out of 4 single storey pavilions. Due to overwhelming market demand, the complex quickly expanded by a further 2 pavilions shortly after its opening. By the end of 2010, all 6 pavilions were fully occupied with more than 330 wholesalers.

In 2012, GM Klang Wholesale City opened its 10-storey tall building, Block A. Since its opening, Block A has consistently recorded a very high occupancy rate. Total trade revenue turnover at GM Klang Wholesale City was estimated to have reached RM1.5 billion in 2014.

The next significant milestone for GM Klang Wholesale City will be the completion of Block B. Upon its completion in 2016, GM Klang Wholesale City (i.e. Block A, B and C collectively) will have the capacity to accommodate up to 2,500 wholesale shops.

In total, GM Klang Wholesale City has a gross development area potential of over 1.50 million square feet. Future development plans for GM Klang Wholesale City include the potential development of a trade centre, a distribution centre, an automotive centre, a function hall and a serviced apartment in the vicinity area of Block A, B and C. The current Block C has also been earmarked for re-development.

BLOCK A

GM Klang Wholesale City’s 10-storey tall Block A was officially launched by the state of Selangor’s Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali. The building has 5 levels accommodating more than 700 wholesale shops. Each level has been segmented according to product category.

INTERNATIONAL ZONE

Level 4 of Block A is currently reserved as the International Zone. Foreign wholesalers are accorded priority for occupancy at this level. The objective of the International Zone is to enable traders and retailers to source for their inventory with ease without the need to travel too far for their product sourcing.

BLOCK B

Block B, which is currently under construction has been designated as the fashion hub for GM Klang Wholesale City. By consolidating all fashion products under one roof, Block B provides the perfect platform for wholesalers specializing in fashion to showcase their innovative and trendy products to a wide, targeted audience.
